Mortar Joint

Mortar between masonry bricks in your foundation is a common location of water leaks. Mortar deteriorates over time and allows water to seep in through small holes.

A-1 Indiana Waterproofing can address this problem from the interior or exterior of your house. If the joint can be easily repaired, we can seal the concrete directly. If the problem is more serious, water leakage from mortar joints can be contained and pumped out of your basement using an interior drainage system linked to a sump pump.

If there is significant damage to the mortar joints and foundation concrete, an external solution may be necessary. We can install an external, waterproof membrane to contain water and prevent it from building up against the outside of your foundation. If the interior of your basement is finished, an external solution may be more attractive.
