How to Stop MOLD
|
The GATORTM SystemFor Basement Waterproofing & Crawl Spaces The GATOR SYSTEMTM is a sure fix, NOT A REMEDY. The 3 1/2" P.V.C. is placed under the floor and beside the footing directing the water AROUND the foundation to the sump pump pit. This keeps the soil/dirt, that supports the foundation, solid and not muddy or wet. This helps to prevent settlement of the home. If pressure is not released from under the floor correctly, it will cause the foundation to shift and/or sink. Water will find its way through other voids in the middle of the floor. Keep in mind all waterproofing systems are different and carry different warranties. In the pictures below, you can see the differences where the two systems are placed. With the Gator SystemTM, you are guaranteed that no water will rise through the middle of the floor. Other systems that sit on top of the footer can not guarantee this. The water will stay under the floor, next to the foundation footer. The water needs to be relieved so that your footer is not sitting in constant mud, which can make it easy for the home to settle and cause structural damage. Other baseboard systems
